Exploding Pringle Magic Trick
You may well have seen this one on Youtube and social media. It is a great party trick and also a good one to use in bars as there are normally plenty of snacks at hand in these venues.
Here we can see an example of the trick being performed. Pity there's no sound as these make a very satisfying THWACK ! sound each time that they smash.
What You Will Need :-
A rubber band
A tub of pringles or a packet of crisps ( usually referred to as potato chips in the States )
How Its Done :-
First of all to prepare for the trick we will need to wrap the elastic band around your wrist and hand as shown below here.
Twist the band into a figure of eight shape and loop it round your little finger as shown below.
Now bring the elastic back up to the back of your hand and stretch the band across the back of your hand and pinch it between your thumb and first finger.
Turn your hand over and hold it out, palm side up and place a Pringle in the center of your palm.
Release the grip on the band betweeen thumb and first finger and the band should unstretch at great speed which should shatter the potato snack.
This exploding Pringles trick looks fantastic when performed and can leave a crowd guessing how the heck you managed to make it shatter. Here's where your imagination is the only limit as you can spin any yarn you like such as maybe having psychic powers or any other old rubbish that you may come up with. Who cares, as long as it helps to add to the fun.
Try and keep the rubber band out of sight. This is better performed when wearing long sleeves although not absolutely necessary.
